Grounding rods

A grounding rod connects your grounding product directly to soil outside. It can be an option when you have no grounded socket where you want to use the product. First check whether you can reach suitable soil from that spot.

A direct connection to soil

The Earthle rod is stainless steel and 30 cm long. It is designed to be placed in soil and connected to a grounding product following the instructions. You do not need a socket for this connection. The rod does not replace inspection or repair of your electrical installation.

Measure the cable route outside

The rod includes a 15-metre cable. Measure the entire route from your product to the spot outside, including bends and the route past windows or doors. Keep the cable protected from damage and clear of walkways. A balcony without access to soil does not itself provide a place for the rod.

What is included and what can you connect?

You receive the grounding rod, the 15-metre cable and a scannable digital guide. The rod works with Earthle grounding products, such as a sheet, blanket or mat. Choose the product for your intended space and follow the connection instructions for both parts.

There is never any current on your product

The cable goes only to the earth connection of the outlet, never to the live wire. The plug also contains a 100k ohm resistor, so no current can ever run through the product.

No grounded outlet in the room? Then clamp the cable onto a radiator pipe, or push the earthing pin into the ground outside.
