Earthle cares about your privacy. Below you will find which data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

Who processes your data

If you have a question about your data, email us. We reply within one month.

What data, what for and how long

Your order

Name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and what you ordered.

Why: to fulfil the purchase agreement, deliver your order and keep our accounts.
Legal basis: performance of the contract, and for the accounts a legal obligation.
Retention: seven years, because the tax authority requires it of us.

Your payment

Payment runs through our payment service provider. We see whether a payment succeeded, but we never see full card or bank details.

Why: to process your payment.
Legal basis: performance of the contract.
Retention: seven years for the accounts.

Contact with customer service

Your name, email address and the content of your message.

Why: to answer your question and to be able to look back at what was agreed.
Legal basis: performance of the contract, or our legitimate interest in providing good service.
Retention: two years after the last contact.

The newsletter

Your email address, and whether you open our emails.

Why: to send you offers and news.
Legal basis: your consent.
Retention: until you unsubscribe. You can do that with the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing us.

Your visit to the website

IP address, browser type, which pages you view and which page you arrive on and leave from.

Why: to make the website work, to trace faults and to understand what visitors are looking for.
Legal basis: for necessary cookies our legitimate interest, for all other cookies your consent.
Retention: see the retention period per cookie in your cookie settings.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with parties who help us fulfil the order, and only what is needed for that:

• Shopify, the platform this shop runs on and where your order is processed.
• Our payment service provider, who handles your payment.
• The carrier delivering your parcel. They receive your name, address and usually your email address or phone number for the delivery notification.
• 17TRACK, the service behind our track and trace page. If you enter a tracking number there, that number goes to that service.
• Our email software, for sending the newsletter and order emails.
• Our returns portal, if you register a return.

We have agreements in place with these parties about how they handle your data. Beyond that, we only share data where the law obliges us to.

Data outside the European Union

Some of these parties are based outside the EU. Shopify is a Canadian company with servers and offices in the United States among other places. 17TRACK is based in Asia. Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or an equivalent safeguard, apply to those transfers.

If you would rather your tracking number did not go to 17TRACK, use the tracking link in your shipping email or follow your parcel with the carrier directly.

Cookies

We use cookies to make the website work, to remember what is in your basket and to measure how the website is used. For cookies that are not strictly necessary we ask your consent in advance. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie settings at the bottom of the website.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your data and receive a copy of it;
• have incorrect data corrected;
• have your data erased, unless we are legally required to keep it;
• have the processing restricted;
• receive or transfer your data in a common file format;
• object to processing based on a legitimate interest;
• withdraw consent you have given, for example for the newsletter or for cookies.

Email your request to info@earthle.nl. We reply within one month. To make sure we do not hand data to the wrong person, we may ask you to send your request from the email address you ordered with.

Making a complaint

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please tell us first. If we cannot resolve it together, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Security

Our website runs over a secure connection. Only the people who need your data to handle your order can reach it. If you suspect something is wrong with the security of your data, email us straight away.

Changes

When we change something in this privacy policy, we put the new version on this page.
