Using a grounding sheet on a mattress topper

Using a grounding sheet on a topper or divan bed? Measure the right sleeping layer and compare fit, skin contact and cable placement.

Measure the layer you want to cover

A divan or boxspring base describes the bed structure, not the sheet size you need. Decide whether you want to cover the topper alone, the mattress alone or both together. Measure that combination before choosing a fitted grounding sheet.

Include the depth

Write down the length and width of the sleeping surface. To wrap both mattress and topper, measure their combined depth. Earthle fitted sheets come in 90 × 200 and 160 × 200 cm, with a stated product depth of 30 cm. Check the product details or ask us if unsure; do not stretch a sheet that is too small.

A loose sheet is another option

A loose grounding sheet does not need to wrap around the whole mattress combination. You can place and secure it on the sleeping surface. A sleeping mat offers a different material and care routine. Compare a sheet with a sleeping mat rather than choosing on bed size alone.

An ordinary topper does not provide earth contact

Foam, a metal frame or a boxspring base does not prove that your bed is grounded. Use the designated cable and earth connection as instructed. Do not place the product underneath the entire topper and assume your skin will still contact it. Read about additional layers.

Adjustable beds

Check the cable route in each bed position. Keep it clear of hinges and moving parts, without pulling on the press stud. For two separate sleeping sections, measure each one. View the available sheets or compare grounding mattress underlays.
