What is a grounding mattress underlay?
A grounding underlay is the conductive layer on your mattress. It does not replace your mattress and is not an ordinary mattress protector or waterproof cover. This selection contains a loose grounding sheet and a sleeping mat. Connect them using their corresponding cables and follow the instructions for your chosen product.
Cotton with silver thread or a smooth sleeping mat
The loose sheet is made from organic cotton with silver thread and measures 203 × 99 or 203 × 180 cm. The sleeping mat has a smooth vegan-leather surface with conductive carbon and measures 185 × 68 or 185 × 137 cm. Measure the area of your bed you want to cover. These are surface dimensions, not fitted-sheet sizes that wrap around a mattress.
Can you keep your own fitted sheet above it?
Direct skin contact is the starting point. To keep your usual fitted sheet, consider its fabric and every layer between your skin and the grounding product. A thick mattress protector or waterproof layer in between can restrict contact. Do not assume that every combination works the same way. There is never any current on your product
The cable goes only to the earth connection of the outlet, never to the live wire. The plug also contains a 100k ohm resistor, so no current can ever run through the product.
No grounded outlet in the room? Then clamp the cable onto a radiator pipe, or push the earthing pin into the ground outside.
